“This is so cool!” Hanji laughed as she looked around the ever blooming forest. The rich evergreen trees and blooming flowers in the midday sun allured the group even more.

“It’s beautiful.” Petra complimented quietly and fixed the backpack she wore carrying supplies. Gunther and Erd stood behind her and nodded slightly in response.

“You know, Petra,” Oluo began, “If you ever get scared in this dark forest, just know that I will not fear anything and I will-” His quick speaking led to his tongue meeting his teeth.

“O-Oluo!” Petra took an ice pack out of her bag and gave it to the man. He gave a scowl but, otherwise, accepted her quick care. “Don’t act like Levi…”

The man in question clicked his tongue as he took out a drawn map. “Listen up, would you?” At the words, the group moved towards the stoic man who crouched down. “We’re here,” Levi pointed to where they currently stood, “The cave itself should be here. We grab the crystals and get out before dark.”

“W-Why do we need to be out before dark, Heichou?” Eren raised an eyebrow as he was hit on the back of the head with a rough hand, “Ouch!”

“Don’t ask stupid questions on this expedition. There are a hell of a lot more animals coming out at nighttime and it sure as hell isn’t easy to get out of a thick forest in the dark.” The raven-haired man stood along with the others. He stretched his bare arms and began to lead the way towards the beautiful green growth that stood before them.

~*~*~*~

“H-Heichou, we’ve been out here for hours and have gotten no where since then!” The ginger woman cried as she clung to Oluo’s right sleeve.

“Just give me a minute. This map is drawn poorly.” Levi replied making Hanji pout, “‘M not an artist.”

“This damn cave expedition will kill us if we don’t hurry up.” Eren murmured earning another casual but hard slap from Levi who continued looking at the map.

“Wow…” You quietly said to yourself as your long, glittering, opaque wings fluttered behind you. As usual, your body was concealed by magic making you invisible. Exposing yourself means death like for the rest of your species.

Your [e/c] eyes laid upon a stoic man with hair the color of a raven and a gaze that was cold but hid pain. His arms and upper torso were extremely muscular compared to his height. The man seemed to be muttering curses to himself as the rest of his, for the sake of convenience, squad moved about themselves.

A boy with turquoise eyes mentioned something about a ‘cave expedition’ which made you tilt your head curiously. “Cave? The one with the crystals?”

A tense was apparent on the man who had caught your attention. The rest of his squad froze in their spots, “What was that?” A certain woman with brown hair inquired.

“The crystal cave…” You mumbled and flew down from your resting spot quietly. Another tense was shown on the group as you flew to a tree, “The one this way…” Knowing your home quite well and the direction they’d be going, you had to help them. It was getting dark and the forest is unforgiving during the night.

Upon reaching the tree, your body turned so your wings faced the large oak. You exhaled and batted your wings quickly making the tree shake furiously until it fell with a loud thumping noise.

A scream erupted between a few members of the squad at the abrupt crash of the tree. The man you had admired looked in your direction. “Wait…” Consulting the map, he moved towards the large, fallen tree, “This way.”

Even his voice was attractive in its own way. “God, it’s hot out,” A blonde man complained wiping his brow. It really was hot out and with it being so late in the day, too. The sweat was obvious as it stained the mens’ wifebeaters and the ginger had a little sweat on the front of her pale blue v-neck. The brunette, curiously enough, looked fine in the boiling sun.

The squad and their attractive leader moved silently in the right direction. You followed them with your body still concealed as you peered intently at the man. “Levi.” You repeated his name once it was mentioned. Luckily, your comment wasn’t heard.

Finally, the cave was reached. Its sparkling, bright, colorful gems rested in the cave causing the squad to gasp. “So pretty! Gorgeous! Incredible!” The squad quickly rushed into the cave and began to happily mine the crystals within.

You flew and landed next to the boy with the turquoise eyes who peered at a ruby in his hands. “Beautiful.” He looked at the gem in his hands as your wing accidentally brushed him, “W-What the hell was that?!”

Levi sighed from where he stood by the cave’s opening, “Thanks, ya brat. You can quit hiding now. Come out.”

“I-Is he…?”

“Yes, you, you idiot.” Levi peered directly where you stood next to the confused boy.

Your eyes widened, “Shoot.” You said after a moment. “Fine.” You huffed revealing your form. The rest jumped from surprise and moved quickly towards Levi who remained unfazed.

“H-Holy shit…” The boy muttered looking at you up and down before a blush adorned his face along with the rest of the men. “A fairy?”

“She’s hot. Maybe she’ll meet the standards to be my wife.” Oluo chuckled and elbowed Petra gently.

“She’s naked, you perverts.” Petra blushed and looked down. The information wasn’t wrong as you stood there completely nude.

“No reason for clothes if I can just conceal myself.” You shrugged as even Levi had hints of a blush on his pale cheeks. The rest of the men continued to stare at your form as you rocked back and forth on your feet, “Do you guys not traditionally do this?” Your wings fluttered once more as you casually looked down at your body.

“N-no, we don’t.” A man with tan skin and black hair responded. Their eyes were still glued to your body.

Suddenly, you were covered. Not with clothing, but with the brunette woman who hugged you tightly and shielded you from the rest. “She’s so cute!” Her attention turned towards the others as she brought a blanket out of her bag, “And do you not have the decency to cover up or at least look away from a naked woman?” The gray blanket covered your body as you snuggled in its softness. It was cozy.

“What’s your name?” Levi asked you.

“O-oh, my name is [Name].” You replied with wide eyes as you stared at the handsome man.

“Type?”

“E-Excuse me?”

“You are a fairy. What’s your type?”

“Oh, forest.”

“Thought they died out.”

Your eyes turned towards your feet, “Y-Yeah. All except me.” Bitter tears threatened to leave your eyes as the brunette rubbed your back kindly. “I’m alright, Miss. Happened a long time ago.”

“It’s okay, [Name]. I’m Hanji Zoe.” She stuck out her hand as you shook it after an exchanged glance. “The boy is Eren, the blonde is Erd, next to him is Gunther, then Oluo, and the other female is Petra. Over there is shorty a.k.a Levi Ackerman.” They each respectively moved as their names were said.

“Oh, nice to meet you all.” You gave a nod to each. “...Levi’s a very sexy man.” You stated bluntly as the others either blushed or snorted.

The man himself stepped towards you, “Excuse me?”

“Levi, don’t question when a pretty girl likes you.” Hanji petted his head as he moved away from her touch.

“I’m not. Now, what did you say?” Levi’s attention was solely on you at the moment.

Your eyebrows raised. ‘Did he not hear you properly?’ You pulled your blanket towards you more. “I said, you are a very sexy man. It means you appeal to me sexually.” Your expression didn’t change as a small blush tried to creep upon Levi’s face.

“Do you think the same of me?” You opened the blanket to show him your bare body as he gulped and turned away.

His eyes drifted back to your waiting ones, “Yeah, you are pretty sexy.” Heat rose to your face as you covered your body once more, “Thank you.”

Hanji smirked at the exchange between you two.

“Forest fairies are honest and naive.” Levi explained glancing at you and his squad.

“How do you know so much about fairies, Heichou?” Eren questioned as you noticed Levi’s flitting eyes and tensing figure. Had you not been a fairy, you wouldn’t have been able to detect his actions.

“Some old friends,” Levi stated grimly. “Nothing important to you.” His attention instead turned to Hanji, “Let’s take her back.”

“R-Really?!” Hanji’s expression was filled with apparent joy as her arms gripped you. “Oh, you’ll love the city so much.”

“But my-”

“Wings.” Gunther examined the protruding objects that stuck out from under your blanket. “How do we take her back with those?”

“W-Well, I can conceal them,” You said, put off from his interruption. Your shoulders rolled slightly as your wings retreated into your skin. “Using invisibilty would be more trouble since I could hit someone with those. But as I was saying, I think that I should…”

The next words couldn’t form as you looked at the eyes of the humans around you. Their eyes imploring you to come with them; as for the gray ones, you could only see despair that for so long has been trying hide. The forest was your home and held your species’ history but...

“I-I think some clothes would be appropriate.” You finished. Hanji cheered and held you tightly as you could see the relief in Levi’s cold eyes. The others smiled happily as Petra tossed you her backpack, “I think those should fit.”

The green backpack itself contained supplies like food, water, and a flashlight amongst other things. A short, white dress stood out as you pulled it from the backpack. It was sleeveless and had a floral pattern along its hem. The blanket around you fell to the ground as you slipped on the dress which ended at your knees.

“Why did you bring a dress?” Erd asked as Petra shrugged her petite shoulders.

“Come prepared.” Was all the woman said as you examined yourself holding the hem of the dress between your fingers as you twirled in your spot as your loose hair whipped around you.

“It’s nice.” You complimented as Levi nodded in approval.

“You don’t need to give her approval short stuff.” Hanji reminded the man as he rolled his eyes. Hanji stuffed the blanket into her bag and stood back up. The sun began to set giving the sky a pink hue. A small owl hooted as your lips formed a small sad smile.

“Let’s go before it gets too late. The wolves are irritating.” You sighed as you walked the quickest path to get to the edge of the forest as the squad quickly stumbled after you. A small tear trickled down your face as you saw the end of your home. Not too far away, civilization made its mark.

“Goodbye.” The final word left your mouth as you glanced at the forest for the last time for a while.

~*~*~*~

“You’re completely healthy.” Hanji remarked as she removed the stethoscope from around her neck. It wasn’t surprising that you were in such good health being magical and having a relatively good diet.

You shifted on the bed you sat on which ended up belonging to the guest bedroom of the stoic male. None of the others could give you a comfortable place to stay so living with Levi was your only choice now.

“Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to ask you some questions, okay?” The brunette took out a notepad and pen as she relaxed in the chair across from you. The others had gone back to their respective homes and Levi was out shopping. Being an expeditioner ended up in him having quite a lot of money. Hanji was a researcher but she still had as much money as Levi. His squad worked for him for a lesser but still good pay with Eren as their new recruit.

You absentmindedly nodded your head giving Hanji a tired, dull stare as it was almost midnight.

“First, your age?”

You regarded the expectant woman for a moment, “Human years or real years?”

Hanji leaned forward with renowned interest, “Both.”

“300 in fairy years,” A small gasp escaped her lips as you chose your words carefully, “But if you do the math right, I am...twenty-five in human years. Compare it to dog and human years, if you will.”

“Impressive, but just right for shorty,” Hanji scribbled something down. “So Levi said that your type of fairies are honest and naive. You can also become invisible and retract your wings. Any other characteristics of your kind?”

“Let’s see,” You exhaled and tried to remember everything, “My kind can control the wildlife of the forest. My people were good at healing others. It came in good use when hurt wanderers became lost in the forest.”

“Incredible!” Hanji exclaimed. “That’s all for now but maybe we can do this some more another time?”

You nodded your head in response as footsteps tapped against the floor of the hallway.

“Oi, shitty glasses, fairy!” The male voice called out into the one-story house as Levi walked into your bedroom. “Come help me put these away.” Levi said before tossing a bag at you. You caught it and opened it to find several items of clothing.

“Thank you, sir.”

“It’s just Levi.” He avoided eye contact with you as Hanji gave you a playful nudge as she packed all of her items up.

“I’m heading out now!” Hanji announced and left the room as you and Levi followed her.

“You aren’t going to help us put these away?” Levi asked and motioned towards the groceries in the kitchen.

“Nope!” Hanji laughed and gave you a wink before exiting the quaint house.

Levi gave a huff of disapproval and began to put away his groceries. “Wanna keep standing there looking stupid or come and help me?”

“I thought you said I looked sexy?” You asked confused as you put away a loaf of bread. A blush threatened to appear on Levi’s features but was quickly gone as he stuck his head in the freezer.

“Is that a custom of humans?” You walked next to Levi and stuck your head in next to him.

“Tch, I was just putting away some ice cream,” Levi, unbeknownst to you, half-lied. He had bought ice cream but it wasn’t yet in the freezer.

“Oh, okay,” You nodded in understanding. “I’ve never had it before. Is it good?” In truth, you’ve only ever seen others eat it but never got to taste the smooth cream.

“Yeah, it’s nice. Good on hot days especially.” Levi said taking out two bowls and spoons. He tore open the plastic covering easily as he opened the lid. “It’s vanilla bean. Everyone says it’s boring but it tastes pretty damn good.”

He scooped some of the ice cream out into your bowl and handed it to you. Having put away the rest of the groceries, there was room for him to sit on his countertop. He took a bite of his own and glanced at your curious face. The expression you made while looking at the creamy substance was adorable to Levi and threatened to give him perverted thoughts.

“Eat it.” He blurted out before the blush he had been trying to force away finally appeared. His stare swiftly moved from you to his own bowl.

“Alright.” You hesitantly agreed as you lifted a spoonful to your lips. A moan of delight escaped your lips as you closed your eyes happily. The smooth, creamy substance felt incredible as it slid down your previously warm throat. The food was cold but tasted great. You began to eat hurriedly, “Wow, this stuff is great.” You mumbled.

“Stop.” You froze at the other’s words. “You’ll get a brain freeze.”

“M-My brain will freeze?!” You panicked. “How could something so delicious have such horrible results?!”

“You idiot. It’s a headache you get from the chill of the ice cream when you eat it too fast. Same goes for smoothies, milkshakes, and the like.” Levi explained as you calmed yourself down.

“Thank the heavens.”

Levi gave a small chuckle at your reaction as you ate your ice cream visibly slower as you savored the taste and wanted to avoid any brain freezing. He felt himself smiling at your happiness as his heart stopped for a moment and his breathing was off for a second. “Weird.” He murmured to himself.

“Are there any other foods that taste this great?” You asked hopefully as Levi took your empty bowls and rinsed them out in the sink.

“Yeah, there is. Pizza, nachos, pasta, dumplings, ramen, perogies, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, fried pickles, tacos, burgers. I’m probably forgetting some but that’s the most generic and best foods.” Levi shrugged and put the now clean dishes away in his neatly organized cupboards.

You hugged the man tightly from behind as the same horrid blush dusted his cheeks faintly. “Oh, sexy Captain Levi, please, oh please, let me try them all!” You begged and lifted the man off the ground.

“Alright, alright! Just put me on the floor, dammit!” Levi was back on his own feet after a minute of being in the air.

“S-Sorry!” You blushed. Levi waved his hand to dismiss you as he admired you in the white dress you were given. The dress was worn by Petra at least once a week but seeing it on such a beautiful woman engrossed him.

“It’s okay. Just go to sleep and tomorrow, we can go on a feeding frenzy, alright?” Levi proposed. His eyes were completely truthful in his promise so you nodded and grinned.

“Thank you.” You hugged him once more as you felt his hands wrap around you back. You pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. He returned the favor as the dreaded pink was on your face along with the stoic male. “Goodnight, Levi.”

“Night.” He bid you farewell as you entered your room once more. You put your clothes away before falling asleep in the dress you were wearing.

~*~*~*~

Months had passed since you joined Levi’s residence and each day he had taken you to dinner to try and explore all the new food. The month was filled with long, meaningful conversations, exploring the city, trying different kinds of foods, blushes, and Levi’s heart continuing to pound at the very mere thought of the beautiful creature he now lived with.

Levi was questioning everything in his own world. A world he thought was only pain and misery but was now enlightened by a woman he would do anything for. The universe had always been cruel to him but his fate had been changed by a single magical creature.

And now…

“I do.”

Levi felt his heart flutter at the words that fell from his lover’s lips. In the months that ensued after your first night in civilization, Levi quickly, and dorkily, fell in love with you. The feelings were luckily mutual and you soon became his girlfriend. Give it four more months and you’re engaged. Two more months leads you two to today’s beautiful white wedding.

“You may now kiss the bride!”

Levi grabbed your hips and pressed your lips against his own. Cheers, whistles, and applause erupted from the crowd viewing the most joyful day of your lives.

“Hey, Levi?” You broke from the kiss to mutter the words only he could hear. Your foreheads were pressed against each other as you looked at him.

“Yes, love?”

“I didn’t want to say this during our vows but I really do love you and I know you’ve been hurt badly; so have I. I just want you to know that you make my pain go away and I just hope you feel the same.” You blushed as Levi kissed you once more.

“Of course.” He gave you a small smile as you both walked down the aisle to the reception room with your hands intertwined.

“So Levi, how do you feel about kids?”

“...Why?”

Levi eyed you suspiciously as you looked at your feet. You stood in the reception hall while everyone conversed amongst themselves. Realization set in and Levi’s eyes widened.

Levi began to look at you in awe as you nodded to confirm. Your body was lifted and spun around in the air making you squeal happily. Levi set you down, knowing how much you loved being spun as it reminded you of flying.

“I can’t wait. I love you so damn much.”

“I love you too, sexy Captain Levi.”

“You’re such a dork.”

“Hey!”

~*~*~*~

“Mommy! Daddy! I’m doing it! I’m flying!” Your daughter giggled happily. Only seven human years and she was flying. Her wings matched yours perfectly; the wings of a forest fairy.

Of course you had a close friend who actually knew your secret deliver your young daughter. You were surprised she even had any powers being half-human. She had wings and could turn herself invisible much to your and Levi’s dismay. It was a hassle when she was younger and couldn’t control her powers.

“No fair! Why can’t I fly but Kariana can?” Your son grumbled as your attention turned towards your son of five years.

“Cadman, you are only half of a fairy so you have only half of a forest fairy powers.” You explained to your son.

“Well, what are they? Also, ‘fairy’ sounds girly. My name means warrior so I shouldn’t be called a fairy!”

“Your sister’s name means pure and she’s a little shit half the time.” Levi pointed out as he caught Kariana in his arms. She stuck out her tongue as he did the same.

You glanced over to a window, “Follow me.” You lead Cadman over to the window and opened it. You lifted the small, raven-haired boy up and sat him onto the windowsill. “You see that tree?” Your finger pointed to the small excuse for a tree a few feet from the window.

Cadman nodded. “I see it. What about it?”

“I want you to stick out your hands and think of the tree growing up big and strong just like you will.” You smiled at your son as he grinned determined.

He followed your commands as the tree slowly grew bigger as Cadman watched in amazement along with his sister and father. The tree now stood large and proud.

“I-I did that?” Cadman asked you in amazement as his wide eyes stared at you; the color matching yours exactly.

You nodded your head, filled with pride, “Yep. Forest fairies can control nature and sometimes animals but, uh, don’t do that last part.”

“Wow, that’s amazing!” Kariana giggled and flew over to her brother. Her long, [h/c] flowing behind her as her gray eyes shined along with her brother’s. Your house was luckily isolated so no one could see your antics.

“Mommy, daddy, we’re going outside!” The children laughed happily and ran, and flew, to the backyard. You and Levi followed them hand in hand.

“I cannot believe they have powers.” Levi said in disbelief. “Growing up fast, aren’t they?”

You nodded your eyes as sentimental tears threatened to pour out of your eyes. “I’m so happy.”

“I am too.” Levi hugged you and gave your lips a small kiss.

A shout was heard as your attention turned towards Kariana whose knee was scraped. Cadman kneeled by her side, “A-Are you okay?!”

He pressed his hands against her knee making her jump but the moment she moved the scrape was gone. “What the…?”

Cadman’s eyes widened in surprise, “M-Mommy, Daddy! I healed Kari! I healed Kari!” Your son laughed happily as you and Levi clapped for him.

“Good job, Caddy!” Kariana smiled and lifted him up into the air. She hugged him tightly as they flew about laughing.

“Our kids are wonderful little shits, eh?”

“Yeah, they are.” You giggled as Levi kissed you once more on your lips. A mumbled “Love you” was exchanged as Levi hugged you close.

The universe had blessed you all and you both prayed the joy would never stop.
